Accessing LAN from Wearable via bluetooth link to the Phone that's connected via WIFI.

So I want to control some smart device directly via LAN but i don't want to waste energy/time to make the watch connect to WLAN itself when the mobile is connected to WLAN.

I can access the internet without a hickup via Bluetooth. But I can't access LAN this way. Is there a way to connect to LAN device via Bluetooth and mobile?

Or will I have to connect to wifi directly from the watch or write some sort of android companion app that would relay my requests?

When your paired phone bluetooth connection is used as internet passage of the gear device, the gear device will set a proxy setting.

So before call your curl function, check proxy status and add proxy setting on your curl function if the device proxy is on.

for detail of the APIs, you'd better look into network manager part.
