Installing Headed Tizen on a Raspberry Pi 3

Do there exists any pre-built Headed Tizen images for the Raspberry Pi? I've been trying to follow the instructions for building an image from https://wiki.tizen.org/3.0_Porting_Guide/Setup_RPI3_for_Tizen_Instruction#If_you_have_not_initialized_micro_sd.2C_please_first_do_.5B1.5D and am running into issues. I'm not quite sure where I made a mistakes as there a lot of steps, plus setting up the cross compiler, so on.  I was hoping that there was an image that I could just use so that I can move forward with my actual goal instead of spending so much effort on just trying to get an image up and running.

I made some headway.  I found the instructions for installing prebuilt images onto a card using the script sd_fusing.sh. But when I try running it against a 32 gig sd card or a 64-gig sd card the process always terminates with the same thing; "No Space left on device."

 

On the 64-gig memory device when I start off the following table prints out.

Then the script appears to move forward with creating that layout. Things appear to be going okay until the end.

Figured it out. 

 

I had earlier run a command with a typo that made a regular file in /dev/sdd. Because of it's presence some of the commands in the sd_fusing script were writing to that file instead of to the SD card. To resolve the problem I only had to delete the regular files so that the device files could be created.

Hi Joel,

have you managed to build headed Tizen for the Raspberry PI? Did you manged this by following referenced article?

I failed to boot it with headed version, headless Tizen works OK, but would like to boot into headed version of Tizen 5.5.

The headed builds work fine for me on a Raspberry Pi 3B+.

Even managed to get it working to some extent on an Orange Pi PC (replacing the kernel, mesa and using libtdm-drm and libtbm-dumb instead of the vc4 specific libs).

I've managed to boot into headed iot tizen 5.5 with daily build - prebuild images, but ...

when GUI is shown, I follow few setup steps to set Language and Timezone ( I think this is all there is, more or less ) and after this -- only white/blank screen is shown and not able to see any desktop. Should I install some more applications or something?

I've managed to boot into pre-build images, but when I build images from source - using rpi3 build scripts, Raspberry PI reboots all the time ( Raspberry PI 3B+).

I am still trying to boot on Raspberry PI 1 and 2, no luck so far.

I believe the setup stuff is some work in progress... (that showed about a month ago or so) Just kill the org.tizen.oobe and org.tizen.oobe-language apps and you get to the home screen.
