Problem in running the executable file - No package list file is found in the image file. Please check the image file

Hi all,

I downloaded the exe file and the SDK image file for offline environment as explained in the developer page.

I run the exe file, go to advanced, select the " sdk image " radio button and browse to the SDK image already downloaded.

However, I get an error popup saying, "No package list file is found in the image file. Please check the image file."

In the logs, I get:

Hi Jaideep, Error occurs when we try to select the wrong Platform SDK image file. For e.g: If SDK installation to be done on Windows® 7 32bits PC, but downloaded the Windows 7 64bits SDK image and try to select the 64bits SDK image, then the above error will occur. Please download the appropriate SDK image and Install manager from https://developer.tizen.org/downloads/tizen-sdk ~Sanjana

Hi all,

I am also facing the same problem on windows -7 os and 64 bit, i have downloaded the install manager and image but unable to set up.

Thanks,

Hi,

Have you checked that the downloaded SDK image file is also 64-bit?

saradindu samal

Hello Alex,

Both install manager.exe and sdk image is 64-bit,

tried to browse the unzip sdk image and zip also, none is getting install...

do u have any exact reason for fixing this issue or is there any bug in that install manager or sdk image.

Thanks,

Alex Ashirov

Hello saradindu samal,

Are you installing SDK v.2.2.1 ? Actually, I have not heard about such kind of error before. I installed it without any errors.

saradindu samal

Hello Alex,

Yes, i am installing the same , tizen-sdk-image-2.2.1-windows64 and installer having tizen-sdk-windows64-v2.2.71.

Alex Ashirov

Hello,

Could you please open your tizen-sdk-image-2.2.1-windows64.zip file and verify that pkg_list_windows-64 file exists?

saradindu samal

Hi,

Its there pkg_list_windows-64 along with os_info and binary folder .....

Alex Ashirov

Hello,

Strange... I have never faced such error before. Probably the image was corrupted during downloading. Just in case, size of my tizen-sdk-image-2.2.1-windows64.zip is 1,917,109,392 bytes.

saradindu samal

size for zip folder is - 1.78 GB (1,917,018,682 bytes)

unzip size- 1.78 GB (1,917,052,128 bytes)

Hi,

BTW, What is MD5 of your image? I downloaded new image (which is currently available) and noticed that it differs from previously downloaded. Previously downloaded image has MD5: 68228f9c8f244097d79025840edab8a6, but new one has MD5: 1bebbc3646b0a6c2307335220c8266eb. It seems that the image has been modified since I downloaded it 1st time. But anyway, I am able to install both images without any problems.

saradindu samal

so what is the solution for this !!

Alex Ashirov

Hi,

Unfortunately, I don't know solution because I can't observe any issues. I just suppose that you need to check integrity of the downloaded image first of all (e.g. checking its MD5).
